Way to Well

Now, I typically don't participate in sponsored posts - but the Walgreens Way to Well Health Tour made sense to me. And, here's a little known fact: Walgreens was by far my favorite place of employment in high-school. I worked with some of my best friends, wore a cool smock, and developed photos in the photo lab. That, and I can face like a pro (does anyone get that reference?).

Anyways - here's the deal with the tour bus:

From now until the end of the year, big ol' Walgreen's buses will be visiting communities like Milwaukee to provide free health tests, education and consulting services. Why's Milwaukee on the list? They are visiting cities that are in need - those with the highest uninsured and unemployment rates. See, it makes sense.

They offer a health test that takes about 20 minutes and provide participants with insights that may indicate potential risks for cancer, heart disease and diabetes. They test also includes information on 10 key health indicators including cholesterol, glucose, metabolism and blood pressure.

I wondered who pays for this tour - and turns out it's partially funded by Walgreens customers who purchase Walgreens branded products (check!).

We've all heard that when it comes to maintaining good health, prevention is key. And for those who don't have access to preventable care, these services don't come cheap (tests are valued around $100).

Enter your zip code here for a list of upcoming tour stops. Share this link with those you think would be interested - or those who know people that would be interested!

See, now you know about one of my multiple jobs as a teen and you know about this nice little tour. Win, win. And, if you must know, facing is just arranging the products on pegs or shelves the correct way (FACE them to the front, get it?).

Although I was compensated for this post, these are my opinions friends!
